Uvalde School Shooting

Covered the Robb Elementary School shooting for weeks on the ground, following leads, conducting interviews and building strong ties with the community. After the shooting, I booked and produced a panel with families of victims killed in the shooting, as well as members of the community seeking answers, which aired on MSNBC and NBC News Now.

Returned to Uvalde when the first surveillance videos from inside the school were release, capturing key moments in the response from law enforcement.

Produced NBC News exclusive interview with Cody Briseño, the first person to interact with the Uvalde gunman after he crashed his pickup truck near the school, which aired on Nightly News and Today Show. Briseño opened up about what he witnessed that morning in hopes of providing more information for parents and helping with the ongoing investigation. Produced live shots with correspondent Guad Venegas for all NBC broadcast and streaming platforms.

Lastly, I returned to Uvalde during 'back to school' season with correspondent Antonia Hylton to capture this emotional moment for the community. We spoke to parents and family members dropping off children that were inside Robb Elementary during the shooting at their new schools.
