‘A Shot of Hope’: South Florida Frontline Workers Receive First COVID-19 Vaccines
Published on NBC News
I field-produced live coverage with correspondent Kerry Sanders as the first batch of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccines arrived in South Florida. Managing multiple crews, we followed the distribution journey from UPS storage units to hospital frontlines, documenting a pivotal moment in the fight against the pandemic.
UPS driver Hansel Nuñez described the shipment as “the most precious cargo that will help folks be around next Christmas.”
My Role:
Directed field production and coordinated multiple crews across locations.
Oversaw live shots and reporting for NBC News coverage.
Captured the logistical and human side of vaccine distribution during a historic public health milestone.
This assignment reflects my ability to manage complex, multi-location coverage under tight deadlines while translating healthcare logistics into compelling, human-centered storytelling.
